Hyderabad doctor dies in paragliding accident while on vacation with friends

A 25-year-old man from Hyderabad died and an Uttar Pradesh resident was injured in a paragliding accident in Himachal Pradesh’s Kullu district on Saturday, police said.

The incident occurred at Shanag area near Manali. Two persons were injured and taken to a hospital, where doctors declared one of them brought dead, district Superintendent of Police Gaurav Singh said.

The man, who was a doctor, has been identified as Chandrashekhar Reddy from Hyderabad, while the injured, Joginder, 27, is from Lakhanpur, Uttar Pradesh.

The doctor who was on a vacation along with his friends tried paragliding but unfortunately, the parachute wires snapped mid-air and the doctor fell off the mountainous region.

Dr Chandrashekhar Reddy died on the spot.

Chandrashekhar lived with his family members at Nagole in Hyderabad and worked at Srikar Hospital.

The matter was reported to the doctor’s family by his colleagues.

The family members reportedly will be meeting Union Minister Kishan Reddy to take his help in order to bring back the deceased doctor’s body.

An FIR has been registered under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) against the paragliding pilot and the owner, Budhi Singh, of Shanag village, the officer added.
