{"id":11361,"date":"2020-12-09T05:59:16","date_gmt":"2020-12-09T05:59:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.wakilsahab.in\/news\/?p=11361"},"modified":"2020-12-09T05:59:16","modified_gmt":"2020-12-09T05:59:16","slug":"meghalaya-employees-association-questions-non-release-of-pending-dues-to-ghadc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.wakilsahab.in\/news\/meghalaya-employees-association-questions-non-release-of-pending-dues-to-ghadc\/","title":{"rendered":"Meghalaya: Employees Association questions &#8220;non-release&#8221; of pending dues to GHADC"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Source:-https:\/\/www.thenortheasttoday.com<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Non-Gazetted Employees Association (NGEA) has questioned the state government over the alleged delay in payment of dues to the Garo Hills Autonomous District Council (GHADC).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a press release, the association pointed out that during contempt hearings against the GHADC, a sum of \u20b915 crore from the Forest department, \u20b9 20 crore from the Directorate of Mineral Resources (DMR) and another \u20b9 20 crore from the Transport department was due to the GHADC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Employees of the GHADC have not been paid for over 32 months with the case of contempt being filed by the NGEA in the Meghalaya High Court.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIn an additional affidavit filed by secretary to the GHADC, Rikse Marak, she has informed on this that \u20b9 55 crores is due to the GHADC and letter seeking payment to the various departments were also produced. However, despite the gravity of the situation, there has been no reply from the concerned departments,\u201d said the NGEA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The NGEA has blamed the laxity of the state government, particularly the Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma, for not taking the issue seriously.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cHow do we resolve school fees, admission fees, and necessities?
