While Supreme Court is yet to decide the fate of Ram Janambhoomi temple, the Centre as well as state governments are already geared up to revamp the entire Ayodhya city.<\/p>\n

Union Tourism Ministry and Yogi government had a meeting where it was decided that the facelift of Ayodhya will start soon.<\/p>\n

“When we talk about Ramayan circuit it doesn’t mean just a museum will come up, it is about the holistic development of the entire Ayodhya city,” said Dr\u00a0Mahesh Sharma\u00a0while talking exclusively to India Today.<\/p>\n

The Union Tourism and Cultural Minister added that he along with UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has prepared the roadmap for Ayodhya’s facelift wherein following will be priority areas:<\/p>\n

Ayodhya city’s facelift will include:<\/div>\n

    Construction of roads in and around Ayodhya.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
  2. \n
    Saryu river ghats will be rebuilt and cleaned.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
  3. \n
    Will increase the rail connectivity and the railway station will also get a facelift with all modern facilities available to the visitors.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
  4. \n
    Airstrip in Faizabad to be developed into a domestic airport through which regional connectivity can be improved.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
  5. \n
    Hotels\/eating joints\/markets to be developed in accordance to international level.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
  6. \n
    Development of all famous tourist destinations in the city.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n

    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n

    “The apex court will decide upon Ram Janambhoomi but till then we have given the green signal for the other development work to start in Ayodhya city. The Ramayana circuit includes not just developing sites in India but Nepal and Sri Lanka too and for that our government will work out something at International level,” added Dr Sharma.<\/p>\n

    It is not just Ayodhya that will get a facelift under the\u00a0Narendra Modi’s ambitious religious tourism promotion scheme, cities like Hazaratbal, Amritsar and Ajmer will also be revamped along with 21 others.<\/p>\n

    The Centre has zeroed in on 25 ‘spiritual’ cities for a revamp, Union Cutlure Minister Mahesh Sharma had said earlier.<\/p>\n
