{"id":5095,"date":"2019-07-15T09:39:43","date_gmt":"2019-07-15T09:39:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.wakilsahab.in\/news\/?p=5095"},"modified":"2019-07-15T11:35:55","modified_gmt":"2019-07-15T11:35:55","slug":"national-lok-adalat-at-lamphel","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.wakilsahab.in\/news\/national-lok-adalat-at-lamphel\/","title":{"rendered":"National Lok Adalat at Lamphel"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Source:e-pao.net<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\nUnder the guidelines of the National Legal Services Authority, Manipur \nState Legal Services Authority (MASLSA) organized the second National \nLok Adalat for the year, 2019 on Saturday, the 13th July, 2019 at \nLamphel Court Complex for Imphal East &amp; Imphal West districts.  \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>  Various pending cases before the courts as well as pre-litigation  matters are taken up in the said National Lok Adalat for amicable  settlement. National Lok Adalat is also organized at Thoubal, Bishnupur,  Ukhrul, Senapati, Churachandpur &amp; Chandel districts by the  concerned District Legal Services Authorities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\nHis Lordship Hon\u2019ble Mr. Justice Kh. Nobin Singh, Judge, High Court of \nManipur &amp; Executive Chairman of Manipur State Legal Services \nAuthority visited the National Lok Adalat held at Lamphel Court and \nThoubal Court Complexes. Smt. G. Gaiphulshillu, Member Secretary, \nManipur State Legal Services Authority also accompanied in the visit.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>  In the said National Lok Adalat held today for the state of Manipur,  total number of 588 cases were settled with total settled amount of Rs.  4,59,66,592\/- (Rupees four crores fifty-nine lakhs sixty-six thousand  five hundred and ninety-two) only.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\nOut of which 566 are pre-litigation matters comprises of bank recovery \nmatters, BSNL Telephone &amp; Mobile Phone bill matters, water bill \nmatters and 22 cases are pending before the Courts comprising of \nCriminal compoundable cases, Civil cases, Family Court cases, Insurance \nClaim cases, Negotiable Instrument Act cases etc. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>  Lok Adalat ensures speedy disposal of cases by amicable settlement  between the parties. It saves valuable time of the parties and their  witnesses and also facilitates inexpensive and prompt remedy  appropriately to the satisfaction of both the parties. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\nMedia played a valuable role in spreading information, awareness and \nattracting people to settle their disputes through Lok Adalat and the \nsame is highly appreciated. It is also hoped that media shall continue \nto render such services in future also.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>  Manipur State Legal Services Authority is thankful to all the Judicial  Officers, Ld.
