{"id":5123,"date":"2019-07-15T11:02:59","date_gmt":"2019-07-15T11:02:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.wakilsahab.in\/news\/?p=5123"},"modified":"2019-07-15T11:02:59","modified_gmt":"2019-07-15T11:02:59","slug":"national-lok-adalat-organised-throughout-punjab","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.wakilsahab.in\/news\/national-lok-adalat-organised-throughout-punjab\/","title":{"rendered":"National Lok Adalat organised throughout Punjab"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Source:dailypioneer <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>National Legal Services Authority under Justice Sharad Arvind Bobde, \nJudge, Supreme Court of India organized National Lok Adalat all over the\n country and Punjab on Saturday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Under the guidance of Justice Rakesh Kumar Jain, Judge, Punjab &amp; \nHaryana High Court and Executive Chairman, Punjab State Legal Services \nAuthority, National Lok Adalat was organized at district as well as \nTehsil level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rupinderjit Chahal, Member Secretary of Punjab State Legal Services \nAuhority said people were made aware of the benefits of the Lok Adalat \nand meetings were also held at the State Level to pursue the banks, \ninsurance companies, revenue authorities and other government \nauthorities to contribute actively for the settlement of cases in the \nLok Adalats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Punjab,&nbsp; 44981 cases were taken up out of which 12022 cases were \nresolved amicably, which includes pending cases as well as \npre-litigative cases, involving around 100 crores. She said that \nExecutive Chairman Justice Rakesh Kumar himself visited three districts \nin Punjab. His efforts and participation helped in resolving number of \ncases and has brought and smile back the lost hope on the faces of \nlitigants which was very encouraging for everybody and is a source of \ninspiration for others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Chahal said that during these Lok Adalats, people have also been made\n aware to contact toll free number 1968 for any kind of legal \nassistance.
