{"id":5737,"date":"2019-08-08T07:12:21","date_gmt":"2019-08-08T07:12:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.wakilsahab.in\/news\/?p=5737"},"modified":"2019-08-08T07:12:21","modified_gmt":"2019-08-08T07:12:21","slug":"dont-reduce-purchase-of-green-power-high-court","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.wakilsahab.in\/news\/dont-reduce-purchase-of-green-power-high-court\/","title":{"rendered":"Don\u2019t reduce purchase of green power: High Court"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Source: economictimes.indiatimes.com<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\n\nHYDERABAD: The Andhra Pradesh High Court ordered the state power transmission firm to refrain from arbitrarily reducing the power it evacuates from renewable projects, giving a breather to developers who have set up more than 7,500 MW of solar and wind energy capacity.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Several wind and solar power developers early last week moved the high court against AP Transco, complaining it had backed down on buying power generated by projects without attributing a reason or any abnormality on the national grid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> The interim order was pronounced on Thursday, the day the union renewable energy ministry asked states to ensure \u201cmust run\u201d status of wind and solar units and that curtailment of such power could be done only over issues such as grid safety and security. The court\u2019s formal order was made available on Monday.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> The clean energy developers alleged that the AP Transco, the state load dispatch centre, acting at the behest of Andhra government, \u201cunfairly started imposing backing down of power\u201d generated by them frequently, indiscriminately and contrary to the Indian Electricity Grid Code in a bid to circumvent the high court\u2019s interim orders.
