Ravinder. The division bench comprising Acting Chief Justice Ramesh Ranganathan and Justice M Ganga Rao raised these points during the hearing of a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) petition filed by Civil Liberties Committee president Gaddam Lakshman, seeking a CBI probe into the torture of Dalits belonging to Nerella, Jillela and Ramachandrapuram villages in Siricilla district by the police.
