Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal Moves to SC Against Delhi High Court

Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) head Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday moved the Supreme Court appealing against the decision of Delhi High Court making concurrence and approval of Lieutenant Governor’s mandatory to implant the decision taken by the State government.

The AAP head reiterated that the decision taken by the Delhi HC is unconstitutional and the government selected democratically should not be deprived of the opportunity to serve citizens.

“The decision to take LG’s approval to implement the government decisions is unconstitutional and illegal. A government which is democratically elected should be allowed to implement decisions by itself,” said Arvind Kejriwal.

There has been a power struggles between AAP ruled Delhi government and LG over the decisions taken by the state government in the past.
